Tricia Little retired in 2016 but was determined to make the last phase of her life productive and enjoyable. After carrying an unshakable scene around in the back of her mind for a few years, she attended Caithness Writers and The write place 2 b writing groups to develop the skills she knew were required to one day turn the scene into a work of fiction.
Numerous short stories later and having published a few in both groups' books, Tricia put pen to paper and produced the first of three romantic novels – The Sapling - in The Rowan Tree Legacy series, launched two months ago.
Based on Caithness, Tricia's historical romance books progress through the 1800s and 1900s.
In the first novel, The Sapling - following Betsy Robertson, as she grows and experiences the highs and lows of love, the reader may also see how the value of women, of themselves and by society has been changing.
Tricia is now busy on the first draft of the second book, Echoes of the Past, which she hopes to publish by 2024. Updates will appear here.
